About Me
Hi!
I understand how it feels to want to leave a legacy but not be fully knowledgeable of what that entails and how to go about it.
For many years I had the desire to become a philanthropist but did not have the tools or information to do so. I wanted to make a difference in my community while I was living but also wanted to establish a legacy beyond my family that would last long after I was gone. The older I became, the feelings of urgency I felt also led to some personal frustration.
I found coaches and mentors in the philanthropic space who could help me demystify philanthropy in a way that made sense to me. I became a part of a giving circle which is a grassroots philanthropic vehicle. I later set up a Donor Advised Fund to start supporting local and national non-profits.
My desire to make a difference expanded even further when my wife and I decided to start our own charitable foundation to enable us to have a greater impact and leave the legacy that we desired.
There are a lot of people like us who have the resources to make a difference but really don't know how to go about it. The lessons, strategies, and the system I created are what I use now to help others create a legacy that aligns with their deepest values and connects their head, heart, and hope for the future that lasts beyond their lifetime.
Barron Damon is a Certified Nonprofit Consultant and Philanthropic Coach with over 20 years of experience working as an Executive for a National Non-Profit Organization. He holds coaching certifications from the Center for Congregational Health, an Associate Coaching Certification (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of South Carolina, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Barron also serves on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce and for the Morrisville Rotary Club, has co-created an award-winning Giving Circle, and helped many communities around the USA create their own Giving Circles.
